The reason? Car restoration costs vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle, and it’s nearly impossible to provide an accurate estimate without an in-depth inspection of your vehicle.
There are 2 factors that will most likely affect your vehicle’s restoration cost:
- The current condition of your vehicle. This matters not only for cosmetic reasons, but also for mechanical reasons. For example, the cost to restore a ‘67 Chevy that’s been sitting in your backyard for the last 20 years will be significantly more than restoring that same ‘67 Chevy that’s being used as a daily means of transportation.
- Your restoration goals. What are you looking to achieve by restoring your vehicle? Restoration goals vary greatly from person to person. A simple cosmetic “facelift”, for example, will cost significantly less than a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration.
- Determining an accurate cost estimate involves an intense, 4-hour vehicle inspection.
